Early morning departure from the hotel. We will pick you up in front of the hotel and go first to tour the city of Shali. In this city, some buildings are still used for accommodation, but since they are made of salt and mud, they are dilapidated. After this tour, we will move on to visit the Temple of Amun, which is from the 30th dynasty and visited by Alexander the Great. Then we will go to the salt lakes, where you will have the opportunity to swim and then we will go to Mount Dakrur (known as the Mountain of Atonement). Lunch will follow in a traditional restaurant. After lunch, we will go to Cleopatra's Spring, where you can relax in a local cafe. The last stop will be the Mountain of the Dead, where we will see a cemetery with more than 2000 tombs. There is an important tomb of Si-Amun, which is richly decorated with paintings of Si-Amun during various rituals. Then we will enjoy the magical sunset on Fatnas Island, a palm-lined island on the shores of a salt lake with breathtaking views. After sunset, the jeep ride into the desert will begin. Before leaving, you will have the opportunity to see local products made from dates and olives. In the evening, return to the hotel.
